Both platforms can bring in customers, but they work in very different ways. Picking the right one comes down to how people look for what you sell.
Google Ads: catch people who are searching
Search ads appear when someone types a query like a service and a location. These people already know what they want, which makes them valuable for services people look for when they need them.
Meta Ads: reach people before they search
Facebook and Instagram ads are shown based on location, interests and behaviour. They work well for products and services people do not search for every day, and for building awareness in your area.
Using both
Many businesses use Meta Ads to get noticed and Google Ads to capture people when they are ready to buy. Retargeting ties the two together by reminding visitors who did not get in touch.
Where to start
If people already search for what you offer, start with Google Ads. If they need to discover you first, start with Meta. Either way, make sure tracking is set up so you can see which clicks turn into customers.
